We just LOVE dough, it’s a
great toy for spending some focussed time with you young one – creative,
imaginative and a toy that really engrosses children in play. We
also love a little bit of added extra when it comes to toys and so we were
excited when Power Dough was launched.
In a nutshell, you choose
your dough accessory, push it into a Power Part and then push it into the dough
to make it move or light up. What a brilliant concept! However, it’s received
some less-than-fantastic reviews. Generally buyers are disappointed; they say it’s
temperamental and find the range of what you can actually build rather
limiting.
If, like us, you still
think the overall concept is brilliant, consider getting Electo Dough from Tech
Will Save Us. Kids make their own sculptures with homemade dough (not included)
and bring them to buzzing, beeping life with LED eyes and silly switches. They
learn how circuits work while using their imaginations to make creatures,
buildings, scenes—the creative possibilities are endless. Kit includes Electro
Dough recipe book to make your own conductive and non-conductive dough using
everyday household items, shape makers, circuits, LEDs, and battery power
source (four AA batteries not included). Ages 4 years (with supervision) and up.
The little bit of extra effort required to make the dough is worth it; Electro
Dough has received much better reviews than Power Dough.
